Speaking on Radio Jambo on Tuesday, the city lawyer said Wetangโula will be left with an egg on his face if the DP survives the ouster bid.
โIf Gachagua survives, who will have the biggest shame; it will be Wetangโula and all the MPs who supported the impeachment motion,โ he stated.
Havi added that Wetangโula, being an elder, should not appear to rush the impeachment process.
โBeing an elder, he should be calm. He should not hurry to step into the matter but wait and make the right decisions,โ he stated.
He said leaders should be calm and avoid being jerky when handling delicate situations. On Tuesday morning, Wetangula called out Gachagua over his Monday night news conference, terming his conduct abhorrent.
The Speaker was reacting to the news conference in a communication to the House, saying Gachagua ditched the decorum required by attempting to prosecute his case on live broadcast.
โBe that as it may, I will not be the judge on this matter but permit me to say that the conduct was least to say abhorrent in the light of proceeding before this House,โ Wetangula directed.
The National Assembly Speaker expressed that the Deputy President ought to have exercised restraint and tabled his defence on the floor of the House.
โStanding orders also prohibit non-members, especially persons affected by such motions, when interpreted broadly. The DP ought to have exercised restraint and refrained from holding the interview,โ said WetangulaโฆCLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>
