Alleged Mombasa Killer Admits To Kisii Taxi Driver’s Death

Muloki, who disappeared on September 27, was found dead at the City Mortuary in Nairobi nearly a week later. Her body was discovered in the Lari area of Kiambu County. Ng’etich was apprehended in Nakuru after being found in Muloki’s vehicle.

During interrogations, he admitted to another murder involving George Njuguna, a taxi driver from Kisii. According to police reports, Ng’etich hired Njuguna for a trip from Kisii to Nairobi. Upon reaching Gilgil, he murdered Njuguna, disposed of the body, and fled with the vehicle.

The car was subsequently sold to an unsuspecting buyer in Nakuru and has since been recovered by authorities. The investigation has uncovered yet another vehicle in Burnt Forest, Uasin Gishu County, potentially linked to an additional murder.

Ng’etich led police to this vehicle’s location, and efforts are underway to identify its owner. The suspect’s primary motive, as stated during interrogations, was to steal the drivers’ vehicles. Ng’etich has been produced in court and police have been granted additional time to hold him as the investigation continues.

An autopsy of Muloki’s body is scheduled for October 7 in Nairobi. The Kenya Taxi Drivers Association has called for enhanced security measures and improved protection for drivers.

They urge the government to implement stricter regulations and provide support to drivers who often work late hours in isolated areas. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has intensified efforts to determine whether Ng’etich acted alone or had accomplices. They are also investigating other unsolved cases of missing taxi drivers to identify any potential connections.

Muloki was known and respected in Mombasa as a hardworking and dedicated individual passionate about her job. Njuguna’s family in Kisii describes him as kind and generous, always willing to help others. Both families are calling for justice and urging authorities to hold those responsible accountable.
