This development follows the arrest and interrogation of Edwin Ngโ€™etich, who was found to possess Mumbuaโ€™s stolen car.

Victoria, a taxi driver based in Mombasa, had been missing since September 27, 2024. Her body was discovered and registered at the City Mortuary on September 29 by officers from Lari Police Station in Kiambu County.

Family members confirmed her identity on Thursday morning after an intensive investigation into her disappearance.

Meshack Kingi, Victoriaโ€™s brother, expressed his grief: “We were called to confirm, and yes, thatโ€™s my sister. She was killed. I donโ€™t understand how she ended up in Gilgil from Mombasa. Her phone was recovered in the car and taken by the DCI.”

Detectives from Mombasa, Nakuru, Lari, and the homicide division are conducting investigations, and Officer Nyuguto is providing updates to the family.

Edwin Ngโ€™etich, the prime suspect in the case, was arrested in Nakuru while driving Mumbua’s vehicle. He is currently detained at Kilimani Police Station.

Kingi noted, “This man led them to where they killed her. I need answers about who killed my sister.”
