On Sunday, September 29, UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Ambassador Hamad Mohammed’s residence in the Sudanese capital was bombed by an aircraft, resulting in extensive damage to the building.

Kenya termed the incident as an attack on the mutual relations between the two nations and will cause divisions that can erupt into chaos.

“The Sunday attack grossly undermines the principle of mutual respect and co-existence among nations. Kenya calls on the warring parties to exercise restraint and give diplomacy a chance with a view to restoring peace, security and stability for the great people of Sudan, and the Horn of Africa,” the statement read in part.

Following the incident, the UAE government cast blame over the Sudanese armed forces, calling on the army to take full responsibility for the act.

The Arab nation also confirmed it would submit a letter to the League of Arab States, African Union and United Nations over the issue.

In response, the Sudanese army declined the accusations and pinned the blame on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a paramilitary outfit that is said to be backed by UAE during Sudan’s civil war that has plunged the country into war for the past year…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>
