Following an uproar from a section of lawmakers led by Marakwet West Member of Parliament Toroitich Timothy Kipchumba, Wetangโ€™ula said that he has nothing personal against the DP and that he was commenting on the church sermon that corresponded with the topic of that Sunday.

Kipchumba had told the House that both Speaker Moses Wetangโ€™ula and his deputy, uasin Gishu Woman Represented Gladys Boss Shollei, had already expressed their dissatisfaction with the DP and, therefore, they were going to deliver a skewed ruling in the Parliament.

Wetangโ€™ula, however, has changed his tune and revealed that he remains neutral on the impeachment matter and that he was resonating with the church service he had attended on that particular Sunday.

And all I said is that the homily was great and our society should live that way.

On Tuesday, the National Assembly approved the motion to impeach Deputy President Mr. Gachagua that was tabled by Kibwezi West MP Mwengi Mutuse who accused the DP of over 10 accounts.

Among the violations leveled against the DP include breaches of the Constitution, corruption, and ethic incitement.
