Speaking during a recent interview on a national television show, Nguna emphasized that Parliament cannot adequately serve the interests of the people as it operates under undue pressure from the Executive arm of the government.

The young legislator voiced frustration over what he described as the erosion of parliamentary independence, stating that this situation is hampering efforts to tackle important national challenges. Nguna further argued that with the current state of affairs, Parliament has lost its ability to function as a separate and independent body, limiting its potential to address the pressing needs of Kenyans.

“The capture of Parliament by the Executive has crippled its capacity to hold the government accountable and respond to the needs of the people,” Hon. Nguna stated.
