He was later found dead on the morning of Monday, September 30, by their house help. Saxena left a note to his wife stating that his bosses had threatened to reduce his salary if he did not meet the targets.
According to a report by WION News, he lamented that he had worked for 45 days and had hardly eaten anything. “Senior managers are pressuring me to meet targets at any cost or quit,” his note read in part.
He also told his wife that he was afraid of losing his job because he needed to support the family, which pushed him to comply with his bosses’ demands.
He requested his parents ensure that his family was well taken care of. He also provided the names of his supervisors, who had been pressuring him to meet targets and urged his family to file a police complaint against them. The police informed NDTV that they are waiting for the postmortem results to establish the cause of Saxena’s death.
They also stated that they would take action against Saxena’s supervisors if the family files a complaint against them. “He said his seniors were pressuring him over the targets. If we get a complaint from the family, we will take action,” the police report stated.
