In a striking turn of events, elders from the Njuri Ncheke of Tharaka Nithi and the Kiama Kia Muembu from Embu have voiced concerns over President William Rutoβs silence amidst growing calls for Gachaguaβs ousting by some members of Parliament.
These MPs appear to be aligning themselves with Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki, who has been endorsed by various factions in the region.
Njuri Ncheke leaders, led by Mutegi Kiugo, while addressing the press in Embu have cautioned that such political manoeuvres risk destabilizing the region and the country at large, urging President Ruto to break his silence and address the situation.
