In a statement on the official website, Amref raised concerns over the increasing number of fraudulent job offers circulating in the public, falsely claiming to originate from the organisation.
Amref emphasised that applicants are never asked to pay fees and that all official communications with candidates are handled through direct and official channels.
Tips for job application
Emmanuel Makokha, a career coach and founder of Fresh Jobs Kenya, told TUKO.co.ke that to stand out, one has to focus on tailoring one’s resume to best reflect one’s previous successes.
“To stand out in every application, focus on tailoring your resume and cover letter to the specific role by highlighting your most relevant skills and achievements. Start with a compelling opening that demonstrates your understanding of the company’s needs, then align your experience with the job requirements. Make sure to quantify your successes where possible, as this shows your impact clearly,” Makokha stated in an exclusive interview with TUKO.co.ke.
He also noted that applicants should thoroughly research the hiring organisation to ensure their resume reflects the company’s culture and values.
“Take the time to research the company culture and values, subtly incorporating this understanding into your application to show you’re a good fit beyond just your qualifications,” Makokha advised.
