Raila Tours IBM’s Research Facility In New York

He said the facility illustrates future technologies that could propel Africa to new heights.

“With innovative advancements, infrastructure projects and unprecedented investment potential, Africa stands on the brink of a remarkable era,” he said.

Raila Odinga is together with President William Ruto, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Blue Economy and Mining CS Hassan Joho, Senator Ledama Olekina and Environment CS Aden Duale in New York for the ongoing 79th Session of UN General Assembly(UNGA)

The conference will discuss specific issues through dedicated agenda items or sub-items

The meeting is part of Kenya’s diplomatic efforts to lobby for Raila’s support from African heads of state.

The AUC candidate’s visit to New York is also part of his campaign for the AUC top position whose elections are slated for February 2025.

He has engaged some of the African heads of state attending the New York meeting as he intensifies his campaign for the African Union Commission chairperson.

Fifty-four African countries are participants in the UNGA, which has a membership of 193 countries.

Raila is facing Djibouti Foreign Affairs Minister Mahmoud Youssouf as a competitor for the top African Union Commission chair position.
