Former Laikipia woman representative Cate Waruguru paid a visit to Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, expressing concern for his well-being amidst the backdrop of escalating political tensions.

Waruguru said she was also delivering greetings from Kenyans who were concerned about Gachagua’s welfare.

β€œI wanted to know how you’re doing, and I see you are good.

β€œI’ve been sent with a lot of greetings by Kenyans to tell you that they love you and they are behind you,” Waruguru said.

Gachagua however assured Kenyans that he was doing okay.

“Good evening Tiktokers, mambo iko aje, mimi niko sawa kabisa. I’m very happy with my younger sister Cate, she has come to check up on me…I’m great, just relaxing,” Gachagua said.

Waruguru also said some Kenyans had asked her to tone down her words when it comes to making political statements.

In response, Gachagua said Waruguru should exercise caution in her political statements, emphasizing the importance of unity and peace in the nation.

β€œYes, tone down, tone down your words. We don’t have war with anyone. We all want peace. We don’t have an issue with anyone. Let’s relax and work; Kenya is our country, and it’s good,” he stated firmly.

Waruguru responded saying, β€œI’ve heard your excellency.”

Waruguru is a strong supporter of Gachagua and has recently made headlines with her strong political opinions regarding President William Ruto and Gachagua.

Speaking at the burial of Lamu Deputy Governor Raphael Munyua, she warned that MPs attempting to impeach Gachagua would face significant repercussions in the upcoming elections.

β€œWe want to tell those bringing impeachment motions; some of them are my sisters, and they are looking for signatures to send Gachagua home. People are watching you very closely,” she said.

β€œAnyone who wants to fight his or her elder brother will be sent home early in the morning.”
