Speaking when she visited him at his Karen residence in Nairobi to offer support after talks on his impeachment gained momentum, Gachagua implored Waruguru to tame her tongue to avoid adding fuel to the already hot political temperatures.
He added that it is important for leaders to instead focus on serving the electorates and make the country a better place.
“Punguza maneno, hatuna vita na mtu yeyote, tutulie tufanye kazi, kenya yetu iendee mbele,” he said.
Gachagua’s remarks follow the recent scathing attacks the lawmaker launched on DP Gachagua’s attackers.
In a recent outburst, the Woman Rep sent a warning to Members of Parliament (MPs) backing the impeachment of the DP saying they will be treated as sell outs and will be sent home during the 2027 elections.
“We want to tell those bringing impeachment motion; some of them are my sisters and they are looking for signatures to send Gachagua home.
“People are watching you very closely. Anyone who wants to fight his or her elder brother will be sent home early in the morning,” Waruguru said on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
Adding;
“Sisi Tulitafutia hii serikali ya Kenya Kwanza viti na mtu ambaye anataka kuimpeach Rigathi ataenda nyumbani mapema.”
In a separate spiel, Waruguru claimed that Ruto’s allies were opportunists seeking to squander public resources.
Further, the outspoken politician fingered the president for duping his deputy, asserting that he (Ruto) will be a one-term president.
The latest comes days after the DP spoke on his strained relationship with his boss during a dedication service of PEFA Church Cathedral in Thika town on Sunday, September 22, 2024.
He noted that he had faced harassment in the hands of Ruto’s allies and warned that the ongoing chaos within the Kenya Kwanza administration will lead to irreversible damages.
“To my boss, President William Ruto, be cautious and do the right thing. Let us not re-introduce the politics of the tribe. Our people hate betrayal and are very unforgiving when betrayed. That is my advice which must not be necessarily taken. Please let’s get back to work and fulfill the promises we made to Kenyans,” Gachagua said.
“I am comforted that the God who stood with Ruto when he was being humiliated is still alive.”
He urged Ruto to intervene and quell the political infighting within the Kenya Kwanza administration.
“We are one nation. I am asking the President to put his house to order so that we can work for Kenyans. We are only one-and-a-half years in office and the Kenya Kwanza administration is being targeted be people who did not support the President. If there is any problem I am asking the President to do the right thing and put his house together,” Gachagua said.
“Let us work for the people and implement the election manifesto. I am comforted by the fact that when things were difficult for President Ruto in the previous, God stood with him. We have a country to run and we need to be careful not to create untimely distractions. Let us not create a situation where there will be instability. We want to support the President as he serves Kenyans and so that he can succeed…CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ARTICLES>>>
