2023: About 50 SANs Signed Up To Defend Tinubu’s Mandate, The Figure Might Even Increase

A total of 49 SANs, including legal luminary Wole Olanipekun, have agreed to defend Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory before the Presidential Election Tribunal.

Recall that the PDP and LP, two opposition parties, have historically gone to court when they are dissatisfied with election results. Atiku and Obi started their respective legal actions at the Court of Appeal in Abuja to contest the election results.

According to a source who requested anonymity, however, about 50 SANs are said to have chosen free service in order to carry out Tinubu’s mandate.

The source claims that “about 50 SANs have signed up to defend Asiwaju Tinubu’s mandate, motivated by patriotism and the need to preserve the integrity of the voting process. The figure may be more in the next few days.

“Despite the noise in the media, both Atiku and Obi have not served Tinubu and APC a copy of any petition before the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal”.
