It was gathered that a resident in the area disclosed to Daily Post that the incident occurred on Saturday evening at unguwar Magina in Buji town.
He said that the victim lost his life in a pond while trying to rescue his cow that slipped and fell into the pond while grazing around the area.
CSC Adamu Shehu, NSCDC spokesman confirmed the incident to Daily Post. The NSCDC spokesman disclosed that the unfortunate incident happened on the 3rd of September, 2022 at about 2:00 pm when the young man took two of his cows to the farm and lose them to let them feed from the grasses nearby.
Unfortunately, one of the cows slipped and fell into the pond that was located close to the farm where they were grazing.
When the deceased Adamu Musa, the 18-year-old young sighted the ugly occurrence, he rushed into the water to rescue his cow, but sadly, he drowned despite the combined efforts of the locals and the NSCDC personnel to rescue him.
It was gathered that the victim’s body was later found on Sunday at about 01:00 am. After a thorough examination, the victim was confirmed dead and was handed over to his parents for proper burial, while the cow was rescued alive.
